Buzz — conversational front door to the agent layer

  • Spike (23–24 Aug), verdict GO 5/5: two local agents + the founder in one self-hosted Buzz channel (Apache-2.0), agents referencing each other with clean turn-taking, zero runaway loops — on a local 32B model via Ollama, zero metered spend
  • Pilot hardened 25 Aug: relay pinned to a tagged release with three carried patches, fresh keys outside any repo, managed services, private-network-only binding (verified: zero public exposure)
  • First real agent "Atlas" answers @mentions in persona, allowlist-only; replies run 1–4 minutes on local inference — a knowable cost of the sovereign path
  • Signed ops log caught a 20-day silent sync outage on day one — the "every event in one log" value prop proving itself immediately
  • Observation week runs to 1 Sep: reboot-survival test, remote client join, and a clean acceptance re-run still open; upstream moves ~15 commits/day against our pinned tag
PILOT WEEK

Production redeploy from curated set

  • July audit: a 12 Jul deploy had shipped the entire working directory (51 files incl. ops content) to production
  • Site rebuilt and redeployed from a curated, term-scanned file set; client-side filter term list removed from public source
  • Retired product pages (assess, dashboard) and outdated llms.txt replaced to match founding-community positioning
  • Old preview deployments on *.pages.dev still pending deletion

/lab — WebGPU experiment staged

  • Infinite-block illusion (MIT) built with subpath-correct assets: 120 files · 53 MB, verified locally
  • Awaiting: installer run + deploy · post-deploy WebGPU/WebGL notes on Mac Mini and phone
